For this year's annual report, we made a zine—a small, portable piece of cultural expression—a collective statement on why the arts matter.
The report featured visual art submissions in response to the reflection prompt: “Art That Changed Me." We asked our staff, board and community, and now we're asking you to share how art has moved you—an image that challenges the status quo, a poem that refuses to be quiet, a collage of the world you want to live in.
View the ongoing collective exhibit below and follow the prompts to add your voice.
ART CHANGES US
A collective expression
REFLECT > Think of a time when a piece of art—a song, book, poem, performance, mural, film, photograph, or something else—made you feel differently, see differently, or act differently. What was it? What did it make you think and feel? How did it change you?
CREATE > Create a 4”x6” response inspired by that moment in any form—drawings, poetry, collage, lists, etc...
CONTRIBUTE > Submit an image of your “Art That Changed Me” response to add your voice to our collective project:
The arts are indispensable.
