ArtsBuild’s New Equity in the Arts Grant Program Provides Funds for Black and Latino Artists

ArtsBuild, with support from the Benwood Foundation, has created a new Equity in the Arts grant program to support projects led by local Black and Latino artists.

Grants up to $10,000 will be awarded to individual artists and organizations. The goals for the new grant program are to help build the careers of local Black and Latino artists; increase sustainability of cultural organizations that focus on Black and Latino arts; build community awareness of Black and Latino arts within Hamilton County; and to support collaborations between Black and Latino artists and other arts organizations within the community.

Those interested in applying for the new grant program are required to attend an orientation meeting held at The Edney Building (Community Room, 5th floor) on Tuesday, November 15 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will include an overview of the grant categories and process and an opportunity to network with other artists and local arts organizations.

To RSVP for the orientation meeting and for additional information about the Equity in the Arts grant program, contact Rodney Van Valkenburg at ArtsBuild: or (423) 777-4214.
